Advanced Studio Lighting is a 2 day studio lighting workshop at GLOW Studios in North Melbourne. All participants will have access to 4 different models a fashion stylist and an extensive range of studio lighting equipment and full post-production and digital workflow instructions. You will then produce no less than 4 highly finished folio quality images and a colour proofed composite card.

Joining David again will be Melbourne advertising photographer Robert Earp. David and Robert will guide the group through many advanced studio lighting scenarios including lighting the cyclorama cleanly and evenly, high fashion finished lighting, classic glamour lighting for fashion and portrait and fashion still life.

Day One 8.30am to 6.00pm -

Participants will receive an advanced studio lighting tutorial from Robert and David with demonstration of a range of studio lighting techniques and strategies. You will then be divided in to 3 groups and given the opportunity to produce 3 different images in 3 different studios with a range of models, clothes and props to choose from. All images will be viewed and discussed in the evening.

Day Two 8.30am to 5.30pm -

All participants have a full hour each to produce their final image. There will be 2 new models to work with and new clothes and accessories. On day two there will also be post-production stations available to start preparing images for output when you are not shooting. In the afternoon David and Robert will present a post-production tutorial, then guide particpants through the final preparation of their best images for output.

As this is an advanced workshop it is reccomended that participants have completed our one day professional studio lighting workshop or have some studio lighting experience. All participants will be working to strict time lines in order to produce all of their images. The group is strictly limited to 12 people only.
